Drunk Crashes Into Home, Exposes Pot Farm

Published by at 9:32 am under Posts

I think this is just about the funniest thing that I’ve read in a long while.

SAN DIEGO – Authorities said a 63-year-old man suspected of drunken driving crashed his pickup truck into a neighbor’s house, leaving a gaping hole and revealing a small marijuana farm inside. San Diego police got a search warrant after the Sunday afternoon crash and confiscated more than 20 pot plants from the house.

Police Sgt. David Jennings said no one was inside the house, and neighbors told officers the residents were gone on a ski trip.

How would you feel if it were your pot farm? Of course you run the risk of being caught any time you dabble in dealing, but I suppose you’d figure on getting caught for something that you did yourself. To be exposed by another man’s drunk driving…

They’re in for a not-so-nice surprise when they return from their lovely trip to the slopes. Sorry guys, doesn’t look like you’ll be growing your money anymore. I wonder how they’ll afford new skis?

The only thing that I can think of that would make this story even better than it already is, is if the folks decide to sue the drunk driver for damages. Technically, they do have legal recourse here. A man, driving under the influence, did in fact leave a large hole in the side of their house, after all. I have to say, though, if it were me, I’d leave well enough alone. It’d be better to forego the negative media attention that cases like these generate and just suck it up.

And this is their neighbor! Can you say family feud? I have to imagine that I’d hold a slight grudge against my neighbor for exposing my marijuana mansion. It might be time to look into that nice retirement community in Florida, buddy.
